Our Campus
For autism therapy, part of the CBS mission has always been to help kids connect in the world. This begins with families welcoming us into their homes to provide services, but it continues as we invite our clients to generalize their abilities on the CBS campus. This is where we offer outdoor spaces and experiences with a more organic twist.
OUR POOL
In the warmer months, a certified lifeguard is on duty at our in-ground outdoor pool where kids gain safe swim skills from the sidelines to the deep end. Each social group reserves time to facilitate social games, leveled swim programs, and to practice safety skills in and around the pool. Additionally, swim lessons and access to the pool outside of social groups times are available throughout the week!
OUR NATURAL PLAYSCAPE
Our natural playscape gives exploration a whole new meaning as kids can run, climb, explore drums, large wind chimes, put on performances in front of an audience, play around our bubbling boulder, and serve up pretend tasty creations from the outdoor play kitchen.
Regardless of the area of the property, we place the focus on group games and building creative play skills, both of which set the stage for facilitation, collaboration, and communication!
THE DECK
Recently updated, everyone at CBS is enjoying the deck! Working and playing games outside can be the most fun and for some the most challenging.
We believe it is important to allow for opportunities to engage in both free and structured play in a variety of environments and the deck allows for this in a multitude of ways. Clients have enjoyed outdoor yoga, tag, catch, and more on our deck. Bring a lunch or snack and have a picnic while you’re outside!
